About us

The club was formed in 1970 by a group of Land-Rover Owners. In 1972 the club name was changed by constitutional amendment to the Brisbane Land Rover and All Four Wheel Drive Club. In 1976 the clubs name was once again changed to become The Brisbane Four Wheel Drive Club and in October 1986 the club became an incorporated body. From humble beginnings and a membership of 28 people, the club has grown and now has an average 75 memberships (approximately 140 members) per year.

The B.4.W.D.C. Inc. caters for all ages, families, couples and single people. Apart from four wheel driving both day trips and week-ends, members often participate in various other social activities such as bush-walking, abseiling, white-water rafting, tennis, ten pin bowling, breakfast on the beach, B.B.Q's, progressive dinners, river and rail tours. The list is as diverse as our members like to make it. Families with children are welcome in The Brisbane Four Wheel Drive Club.
