Recap of Last Months

Here’s a quick recap of the events and trips we’ve enjoyed over the past months:

Janowen Hills Members Weekend: By all accounts, this was a fantastic weekend of wheeling!
Mt Mee Day Trip: 7 Steeds braved the conditions and took to the drive. This lovely day trip was organised by Troopy. He has said another one will be on the horizon.
K'Gari Clean Up 2026: Another great weekend exploring Kgari and helping 4WD Qld and clubs collect rubbish from one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
Scenic Rim Chill: Best location in our back yard. Get amongst this trip next time.
Sundown National Park Weekend: Tough wheeling but worth it for those who attended
Bribie Island Beach Weekender: All reports on this trip was how peaceful and relaxing it was.
Trophy Weekend - Gootchie Creek Escape: To those who won the awards, congratulations! Everyone else who attended this loverly relaxing weekend we hope you enjoyed the good feed.
Patrol Vs Landcruiser Weekend: What a great event putting the rigs to the test.

If you're interested in running a trip or event for the club, we'd love to hear from you! Whether it's a day trip or a weekend adventure, leading a trip is a great way to contribute to the club and share your 4WD experience with others. Reach out to us if you're ready to take the lead.

General Business

The AGM is tomorrow night Thursday 9th July. All positions will be declared vacant.

When: Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 7:30 PM
Where: Edinburgh Castle Hotel, 421 Gympie Rd, Kedron, QLD 4031 (In the Functions Room)
Nomination forms can be found on MJ, along with some information about the roles.
Please note: You must be a current financial member (26/27) to successfully nominate for a Committee Position.

Membership Renewals were due by 30th June 2026. Please ensure you pay for your membership renewal via the Member Jungle app. If you have not then your access may be disabled.

You can renew via the club website, and there are a few payment options available:

From The Editor's Desk

Thank you to those who have contributed to the Magazine during my time as Editor. I will be stepping down from the role at the AGM but will be available to help the next Editor learn the ropes. It is a very easy role to site and run. I really enjoyed getting to post the News Stories and Publish the Magazine. I had high hopes to do it monthly but life can get busy so Quarterly seems to be a nice medium to get all the information out to members.
