Welcome to the new-look Whispering Wheels!

As we continue to evolve and improve the way we communicate with our members, we’re excited to introduce this refreshed newsletter format. With the Member Jungle app now running smoothly for over two years, we’re making the most of its features to streamline our communications and reduce costs for the club.

Each month, we’ll provide a recap of what's happening in the club and highlight important updates for those who may miss our General Meetings. This newsletter will be available on our website, and we’ll do our best to send it out via email as well. We appreciate your feedback and patience as we work to improve the newsletter moving forward.

Recap of Last Month

Here’s a quick recap of the exciting events and trips we’ve enjoyed over the past month:

• 2025 Brisbane 4x4 Show: It was a huge success, and it wouldn't have been possible without the help of several dedicated volunteers. Thank you to all involved!!
• Esk Weekend w Day Drive: Lots of laughs were had over a pub dinner in Esk on Friday night. The weather was spectacular after a few wet days.
• Induction & Club Trip @ The Springs: A massive turnout in February for this trip. What a great way to kick off the year.

• Black Duck Valley 4x4 Park – 16th May 2025: Another big weekend tied in with an Induction for new members. Hurry to secure your spot!
• You've Gotta Love a Long Lunch – 15th June 2025: Get ready for a long lunch at the iconic Breaky Creek Hotel.

Want to Lead a Trip?

If you’re interested in running a trip or event for the club, we’d love to hear from you! Whether it’s a day trip or a weekend adventure, leading a trip is a great way to contribute to the club and share your 4WD experience with others. Reach out to us if you're ready to take the lead.

Induction for New Members

All new members must attend an Induction Course when they join the club. The course covers recovery skills, convoy procedures, and club rules, ensuring you’re ready for our off-road adventures.

Next Induction Details:

• When: Saturday, May 16, 2025, at 9:00 AM (Theory & Practical)
• Where: Black Duck Valley 4x4 Park - https://www.blackduckvalley.com.au/
• Happy Hour: 4:00 PM (Bring a plate to share) - A casual social gathering to unwind, enjoy some snacks, and chat with fellow members after the day's activities.
• Cost: $15 per person (Unpowered Camping), $30 per vehicle per day

General Business

• The AGM is coming up, and we are seeking nominations for Committee Positions. Nomination forms can be found here along with some information about the roles here.
   
• Membership Renewals are due by 30th June 2025. Please ensure you have paid for your membership renewal via the Member Jungle app before this date to avoid your access being disabled.

President’s Wrap-Up

As we roll into another exciting month with the club, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for being part of our growing 4WD family.

A special shout-out to our new members — welcome aboard!

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter, a reflective and respectful ANZAC Day, and an enjoyable May Day long weekend — however you choose to spend it. I look forward to seeing you all at the next General Meeting on Thursday, 8 May.
