Weekend Itinerary
Friday
- Morning: Drive up to Teewah and DI, make camp and enjoy the afternoon.
- Meeting Point: Meet at BP Caboolture Nth Bound at 8:30am for a 9am departure.
- Afternoon: Free time to explore Teewah and DI.
- Alternate Option: Arrive Friday afternoon on rising tide High at 6:11pm.
- Evening: Listen to the waves crashing on the beach and enjoy a few drinks and a good friendly chat.
Saturday
- Morning: Head to DI Pt and set up at the lagoon; activities include swimming, relaxing, fishing, beach cricket, or volleyball.
- Lunch: BBQ on the beach.
- Afternoon: Depending on beach conditions, explore Rainbow Beach.
- Evening: Head back to camp before high tide at 5pm; enjoy happy hour.
Sunday
- Morning: Sleep in and enjoy. Go for a swim, a fish.
- Late Morning: Drive to lighthouse and walk up to explore and take in views.
- Lunch at Lagoons and a swim, fish or just relax.
- Low tide is at 1:23pm for those heading home.
- Second happy hour for those staying till Monday and watching the sunset.
Monday
- Pack up and head home on the dropping tide from 1030am on.
Additional Information
- Comfort and Safety: Feel comfortable towing a van/trailer on the beach, do so at your own risk; be ready for fine nominations if you need recovering.
- Facilities: Bring your own toilet as per QLD park rules; showers available at Freshwater Campgrounds (requires coins).
- Camping: Book your campsite in Zone 2.
- Meeting Point: Meet at BP Caboolture Nth Bound at 8:30am for a 9am departure.
