Sundown National Park Weekend

Take on a rugged weekend adventure through Sundown National Park on a medium-to-hard 4WD trip featuring steep climbs, rocky tracks, and remote bush scenery.

We’ll meet Friday night at the free camping area in Dalveen just past The Springs 4x4 Park, with dinner at the Dalveen Sports Hall (numbers needed to book). If you can’t make Friday night, meet at McDonald's Stanthorpe on the highway at 8:00am Saturday for an 8:30 departure. We will camp at The Burrows campsite in Sundown on Saturday before driving out on Sunday. Note that camper trailers and vans are not suitable for this trip. 

Max 15 vehicles. Please just register the number of vehicles, not the number of people. (e.g. if you and your partner are coming in 1 car, just register yourself, not yourself +1).

Camping: Friday - Dalveen free campsite, Saturday - The Burrows, Sundown National Park.

Costs: Dalveen camping is free, dinner is $10 at the sports hall. The Burrows is $7.50 per site, booked through the National Park website.
