2027 K'gari Clean Up – Sub-Committee Nominations Open

4WD Queensland has called for nominations for the 2027 K'gari Clean Up Sub-Committee.

The 2027 K'gari Clean Up is scheduled for 14–17 May 2027, and 4WD Qld is looking for volunteers to help plan and deliver the event.

An information session will be held via Teams on At 7PM 14 July 2026. During this meeting, the available Sub-Committee positions will be explained in detail, including the responsibilities of each role and a wrap-up of the 2026 event.

No positions will be filled on the night. The purpose of the meeting is to provide information and receive nominations from interested members.

All nominations will then be presented to the 4WD Queensland Management Committee and voted on at their meeting on 16 July 2026. Successful nominees will be advised by email following the meeting.

The Sub-Committee meets via Teams on the second Tuesday of each month, with the first meeting of the new committee scheduled for 11 August 2026.

As we all know it is only with volunteers that these events are made possible to be run effectively.  It would be great to see some new faces on the committee. Only requirement to hold a position is that the member is paid up to date with their affiliated club fees.

 

In our recent survey of the 2026 Event it was highlighted from some of your club members the following things they would like to see improved with the event:

 

  • Communications to be improved

  • Information filtered down from 4WD Qld to trip leaders and clubs should be improved

  • Improvement on food and organisation of meals

  • Raffle Ticket sales to be increased

 

We want to make the 2027 Event great and to assist with improvements needed we need member contribution and help.
